Beating the heat

It's that time of the year when mercury levels in Chennai and most other parts of India soar. In a city with climate ranging from hot, hotter to hottest - it is also the time when students like me are bombarded with exams from all directions and the worst of all is getting back home mid day after an exam , I truly feel like a sizzler.

Apart from all this, me being a summer person these are all the stuffs I do everyday to beat the heat:

Wear cotton clothing
Have a face wash as and when possible
Find a seat right under the fan
Have a juice right after the exam
A butter milk and lassi at Tambaram station
A bottle of water at Chetpet station
Keep the A/C on.
Watermelon and Tender coconut water :)

Ice- creams to be added on the list at the earliest :)

What's the weather like at your place ?

Hi Shalini,

Melbourne starts with 3 degrees in the morning to the max of 12. It drops back to 9 in the evening and winter officially starts only on June 1st. :)

actually summer heat used to be my favorite in australia.
cos girls came in bikinis to classes and lectures.

lots of eye candy, and its the only period of the year i attend ever lecture and every classes.

Thank god exams were not during this period. if not i would find it hard to pay attention to the exam paper right in front of me.

Drink lots of water.

water is the easiest form of water that is easily taken by the body.

even through pespiration, you should have enough water in the body such that it requires you to pee. but if you have not done so, then your water intake is low.

heat exhaustation causes the brain not to function properly, with the exam arround the corner, don take any chances. take the juice and lassies but also drink water.
