Being in the right place at the right time

This was one thing I had been waiting for over a weeks time. Remember my post about me and my friend being selected for an Entrepreneurship workshop at IIT M based on the concept we came up with for the given problem statement.

It's yet another reason for us and our dear ones to rejoice as we ve yet again been selected for the Qualcomm's Innovator Challenge. One among the top ten teams who will be presenting our idea on October 2nd at IIT M.

When our results were out for the previous event I was jus so excited and started looking in for more events in their website for us to register in. That's when I came across this Quallcomm's Innovator challenge , where they had asked us to come up with a concept using GPS and mobile phones which was very similar to what we had done for our previous event . But the deadline for this event was jus' half hour away after modifying the previous document a bit within the available time. Here we are again finnaly selected.. Is this what they call being in the right place at the right time :)

Hiii I come again...and am lucky to be the first one to post a comment on your latest post... :-)

First congrats!. Second.. hmm I am curious too to know what the idea was, but then do not tell me here or anywhere- because it is your trade secret for now.. maybe one day you can tell me..

It seems then you are a software student or comp sc? Hmm.. what can that idea bee.. i wonder now...well.. I will try to guess...hehe

since it is GPS+Mobiles it can be anything from route maps to tracking...but then these are already available.. unless they accept entries for existing ideas in a different form. But if they want only new ideas ..then seeing your interest in travel and also recipes.. it could be something sort of a map to show locations of the eating places or tourist places so on.. on your mobile depending on where you are at that moment.. is it something like this? ha!! I know I know.. your mind is innovative so you may have come out with something more innivative.. :-)

wellll...I am trying to soak off a bit of your innovativeness from you to me..

On the first few lines of your post on being selected to IIT workshop.. On the face of it a dull period of your life made you start blogging but I think it was just the catalyst. It was your creative urge that actually made you blog.. and this is the site which we all see as a result.

People blog for many reasons. I once started to blog with 5 different reasons (! and hence had 5 different blogs- now only one active because of lack of time and changing thoughts). Some come to share their thoughts, some come to share information with people, some to share news,- many good blogs exist on these lines...

Some just come because of their creative urge and at the same time that creative urge makes them want to connect with the creative universe that is around us all the time.. their blogs stand out from the others . yours is one sucH! And we readers are looking for more insights into your mind in the future! Cheers!!

Thank yous o much for that wonderful comment :)

Yup, I am an IT student. The idea which you came up with regarding the eateries around the location one is in is a part of my idea but there is much more to it, about which I shall blog sometime later.

Be what the reason may but I feel really happy to be in blogsville :)

WOW!! I knew that you stood a chance. Not that I know what your idea was but because I could sense a few things about your idea- from the fact that you got selected for that IIT thing earlier and from the manner the idea came to you and your friend. When ideas come like this and when you seem to be otherwise a bright student, I think you have lots of potential...

Becoming 1st or getting placed in first three places can happen to only 3 teams obviously. WHAT matters is the path you are travelling on.. it will surely lead you to greater overall successes and achievement in life.
Good Job!!
