Exams Vs IPL

The IPL series has been such a fun one with me and my friends in college .. With friends from all over the country we actually have atleast one native supported for all IPL teams in our gangs . And when the teams take over each other at the grounds of South Africa .. OMG! What debates we have .. well, not to forget the bets for chocolates and ice creams too ...

When life seemed so fun with IPL as we hardly noticed our model exams go by .. The semester exams demended our attention for the fear of arrear and boy! adding to this was the distraction of IPL and calls from the team supporters ..

Me a die hard Chennai supporter with Dhoni and Muthiah murali Dharan being my favourites .. I'm nw deeply dis- appointed with Chennai not being able to get into the finals .. Well, never mind it was still a tough semi final .. I'm now looking forward for the world cup T20 that is soon to begin ..

And about my exams .. 3 down and 4 more to go .. I'm jus looking to get donw with them and I've already got loads of plans for my month long vacation ..

P.S. It is jus' that I have my exams going on and thats the reason I'm not able to drop by your blogs regularly or update mine either .. Jus' waiting to get into hols to get back into my blogging tempo! c ya all till then .. Take care and have a great weekend ..

Past perfect = present continuous

Looks like the past plays a considerable amount in the future too. It was as a shock to me while I was reading Economic Times a couple of days back. The secondary and higher secondary marks play a considerable role in gaining admission into the top IIMs.

Even for students who had a score 99.46 percentile didn't get a call from the top IIMs whereas one who had obtained 99.28 managed to get a call from all top IIMs including IIM A coz the laters secondary and higher secondary marks were better than the previous persons..

If the past isn't perfect does it really have to affect the present continuous?

I'm busy dating books

It's that time of the year again when most college students dust off those bulky books, lock themselves up in their rooms dating books and come out jus' to have their meal and go for exams.. My exams have started today and with it comes serious studying. I jus' got done with my practical exams *keeping my fingers crossed that I should score well*.

Have my model exams going on now, this will be followed with our semester exams.. So its gonna be a month full of exam marathon. Nevermind, I will still be able to post in my blog and drop by all your blog spaces as well as I'm done with the tedious tasks of getting the records ready.
This was what kept me away from all of you for the last couple of weeks.. Sorry about not being able to post on my MMI you can look forward to a very interesting MMI this coming Monday.

My weekend

After an exhausting 3 hrs in the examination hall, I was finally out and pretty much excited about the rest of my day . I had plans to go to bessy beach (Its one of the beaches in Chennai, where most Chennaites chill out during weekends..). On reaching there, I headed straight to the cafe coffee day in Planet Yumm. Now most of you must be thinking its the usual fun.. Yup, it was fun but with a difference.

I was actually there to meet Mr.Debashish Ghosh (author, Voyage to Exceellence). It was a business meet (now do I sound like a grown up...) well.. wel.. I was a school kid when I first saw him during the book launch in Landmark. And now I feel really fortunate to work with him in a project. About the project, i will blog about it once its up. We had some serious talks and he was an interesting person indeed.

Got back home and crashed ..Today was awesome fun as well, went for a lunch out with family and it was my treat (from the money I made outta blogging ads :) )

Now I got to get back to studying.I'm half way through my exams and have 4 more papers *sigh*

Holidays...Yipeee..

Aey all I'm back in the musch neethed pase of my life - Olidays .. in case your wondering whats wrong with my typo, its jus' that I ve got cold and flu from the chill weather of Chennai..

Last week was pathetic as every side I turned there was an exam and that too right after diwali when I was not even partially out of the celebration mood.. To top it all off the cold and flu gave me company making the situation even worse.. Now that I'm done with all the exams it doesn't really matter if I still have cold , whatever it may be im going to enjoy and have fun... But, wait a minute I have a paper to be submitted for a conference which I need to look into and the dead line for the revised submission is jus' a couple of days away.. Anyways, this is something I like forward to do.. So I got to enjoy these two months and I truly deserve it for all the hardwork I have been putting in all these while.. :)

When I look into my future it looks really bright with no exams anywhere in the close proximity .And a list of festivals lined up from Kaarthigai deepam, christmas, new year, pongal et all..So, from now on you can look forward for me visiting all your blogs regularly and also look out this space for more interesting posts..
